The achievements of West College Scotland students and staff have been officially recognised in the Scottish Parliament.

Earlier this month, David Deavy, former West College Scotland student in Roof Slating & Tiling, won the runner up prize for Scotland at the 2015 Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Apprentice of the Year Award.

Last month, West Colleges Scotland’s Motor Vehicle department at the Clydebank campus were delighted to donate £417.20 to the St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.

As part of the Renfrewshire Council STEM initiative, we welcomed 15 pupils from Johnstone High School for a full-day App development workshop. The students really enjoyed it and hopefully some of them will consider a career in programming, a skill which is in high demand in Scotland right now.
